The essential skills for the ACT Science Test include interpretation and analysis of scientific results, resolution of differing viewpoints, and problem-solving skills.
The ACT Science Test lasts for 35 minutes and contains 40 questions.
The ACT Science Test contains questions of three different types:

Graphs, tables, or other illustrations - tests how well you can read and interpret data that is represented in tbular and graphic form.

Research synopses of related experiments - assesses your ability to analyse research results.

Conflicting interpretations or hypotheses - requires you to compare differing viewpoints.
Please not that even though calculators are allowed for the ACT Math Test, they are not allowed for the ACT Science Test.
